What We Believe

We believe that salvation is found in Christ alone. (John 14:6)  The gift of salvation is by God’s grace alone. (Romans 6:23).  That we receive the gift of eternal life by faith. (Ephesians 2: 8-9)  We believe that all scripture exults the person and work of Jesus Christ and our belief in Him is the only way we can be reconciled with God.

Our common statement of belief is the traditional Apostles' Creed:

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church exists chiefly to glorify God through faithful worship and in making disciples to reach our neighbors and beyond, through local outreach and mission, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
